ARTICLE V – MEMBERSHIP

SECTION 1 – Membership qualification:
(A) The membership of this Club shall be open to any interested person of any’ age.

SECTION 2 – The annual dues

(a)    Annual dues start the first day of January of each New Year.

(b)   The annual dues will be $5.00 a year for each family member of the current year. After September of that year, no dues will be required for the rest of that year.

(c)    Club members shall not be liable to assessments or to payments of any amounts in addition to the dues provided for in the by-laws, except that by agreement of the majority of Club Members upon ways and means to raise funds via the treasury.

(d)   If and when additional funds are needed, then voluntary donations will be asked for with a explanation to why.

(e)    Newsletters will continue to be sent to everyone on the mailing list regardless of membership dues for the remaining current year.

SECTION 5 – Voting

(a)    The voting of club officers and directors shall be held at the first meeting of each year. This will usually be the January Meeting.

(b)   Only club members in good standing may vote and each member having one vote.

(c)    All Club elections shall be by secret ballot on paper unless otherwise agreed upon.

SECTION 6- Elections

(a)    The election or nomination of club officers and directors shall be held at the last meeting of each year. This will usually be at the Clubs Annual Christmas Party in December.

(b)   Election of these nominees for the new club offices will be hold in the January meeting of the New Year.

(c)    If no January meeting has been set by the time of the Christmas party and if all members at the party are in agreement, voting of the nominees can be conduction at that time. Hence no January meeting will be required to vote into office the nominees.

(d)   Club member do not need to be present to be nominated for an Office Post. Nor does he/she need to be present to be voted into office.

    Everything sounds good.

    Perhaps their should be some sort of stipulation about termination of a member and why
