ARTICLE VII - STANDING COMMITTEES
SECTION 1. — Except as otherwise herein provided, the President shall appoint when necessary the standing or continuous committees and such special or subcommittees as he/she or the Board of Directors may find necessary. The President shall appoint the officers of all committees.
- (A) NOMINATING COMMITTEE: The duties of the nominating committee shall be: (1) ~ The nomination of candidates for the chairs and the Board of Directors; may be completed either by the nominating committee or from the floor.
- (B) RULES COMMITTEE: There shall be a Rules Committee of seven (7) members appointed at least thirty (30) days prior to the annual Board of Directors and General Membership meeting to which shall be referred all proposed changes in the rules dealing with the function of and the by-laws of the Club for which the Club is entitled and does make rules.
- The committee shall report its recommendations on all matters referred to it during the monthly Board of Directors and General Membership meeting for consideration and action at that monthly meeting.
- All proposed rule changes/by-law changes shall be referred in writing to the rules committee and printed in the newsletter for opinions or rejections. Opinions or rejections will be submitted in writing to the Board for further discussion.
- All amendments to the by-laws become affective 30 days from the posting in the newsletter.
(C) SHOWS COMMITTEE: There shall be a Helicopter Show Committee consisting of five (5) members. The duties of this committee will be to plan and put on, with the Board of Directors approval, all Helicopter shows during the year. (a) Revolving Trophy Committee. There shall be a revolving trophy committee to administer and present the annual awarding of the revolving trophy, as described in resolution dated April 17th, 1999. Resolution and Rules are attached herein.
